Train Paris from Germany

i'm not local so pls bear with my "tourist" question.
we're planning a trip this august for our wedding anniv to paris. we want to take train and do our own touring..(is that advisable or guided is worth it?)
where can i get information on euro train from germany to france?
what do you suggest to see and do while in paris? (of course eiffel towe and louvre is on the list)
is it pretty mobile in the city? or do you have to hail cabs everytime you want to visit famous places?
thank you in advance!

the Deutsche Bahn web site is excellent.

New high speed service is not online from Stuttgart to Paris and Frankfurt to Paris. Cuts the trip time to under 4 hours from Stuttgart.

Paris is easy to get around in. The Metro and the buses are everywhere it seems.

I think you need to get yourself a good guidebook to Paris. There has been tons of stuff posted on this forum about visiting Paris. Discussing Paris could take days.

Hi mr,

Where will you be in Germany before going to Paris?

Look up Paris under "destinations".

Paris has an excellent subway (Metro) and bus system.

Enjoy your visit.
