Don't know what info you need. There are many tube lines crisscrossing the center of London and reaching out to nearby areas. There are also several commuter rail lines used by people who live out side the immediate are (farther suburbs or rther parts of UK).

Suggest you pick out what you want to see then figure out tube or train.

Weather in early may will be either slightly chilly or warmish, likely with some mist or drizzle some days. You won;t have snow or sleet - nor will be it be 90. For accurate info check the week before you go.

I don't have the link to offer you, but if you google the London tube I'm sure you'll be able to see a map of the system. Obviously, it will be small and probably impossible to accurately read, but you will see how it's layout. It's extremely easy to figure out. Everything is color-coded. With a good guide book, you'll have no trouble getting around.

As for walking tours, I recommend the Jack the Ripper tour. If you like WWII history, I recommend visiting the Churchill War Rooms exhibit. It's the underground bunker from which he ran the war effort.

And, the weather can be very chilly. Prepare by thinking "layers." We were there in mid-June and I actually wore gloves the night of the Jack the Ripper tour. It was drizzling and a little windy. The gloves felt good.

Enjoy your trip!

Tube or bus are the most usual ways of getting around within London, although there are train services as well. Trains are mainly used for getting in or out of London rather than across it.

Most transport passes (i.e. Oyster) will cover you for both tube and buses.

The thing to do is work out where you want to go and then worry about the best way to get there.

May weather: hard to predict. Should be quite nice, spring-like, but it could rain and be chilly at times. Bring flexible clothing so you can wrap up or strip off as required!
