Train la Spezia to Aix En Provence
I have read some old forums re this topic but I am wondering if there is any new information that could be relevant to this topic
I was considering Avignon but Aix En Provence looks interesting for 3-4 days JJ |
Are you looking for new information on trains or Aix-en-Provence?
Train schedules are on www.bahn.de. The journey takes ten hours or more, with five or six changes, but are you actually travelling from La Spezia? |
I personally prefer Aix to Avignon; Aix is a pretty town. But if you're picking a town to use as a base for daytrips into Provence by public transportation, Avignon is more central to Provence's most popular sights. Depends on where else you want to visit.

Thanks guys... I have reposted with a topic re best place to base for Provence!! I am in four minds!! We would like a small village/town but convenient to public transport as the next stay would be Bruges

As usual Geoff is wrong - at most five changes and often 'only' four - he is right however on the time. |
