Train from Rome airport to Florence. How much time needed?

I WILL BE TRAVELING ROME TO FLORENCE. I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT BAG STORAGE ON THE TRAINS AND IT SEEMS TO ME THAT MST OF THE INFORMATION IS IN REGARDS T0 22"
/24 " BAGGAGE. BUT I WILL BE TRAVELING WITH A LARGER PIECE OF LUGGAGE AND A 24" BAG. HOW WILL THE ACCOMODATIONS BE FOR TWO PIECES OF LUGGAGE SUCH AS THESE. THANK YOU FOR ANY INFO YOU MAY OFFER AS I SURLY DONT WISH TO BE IN THE STATION AND UNABLE TO GET ABOARD..

As for luggage, it really depends on what type of train you are traveling on. The faster AV trains will have two luggage storage areas in 2nd class cars (sometimes more), overhead storage for smaller bags and space you can slide a case in behind your seat. You should be more concerned with getting on and off the trains with that much luggage. Some trains only stop for 1-2 minutes. You have to be ready to get off or on with your luggage. If you are getting on, you have to allow people off before you can start to board and the trains don't wait around because you have overpacked. Try carrying your packed bags up a staircase fast before you decide to take that much.

Amen to that!
Not only are there stairs you must climb rather quickly, the stairs are steeper/taller than normal stairs. There are no train attendants, so you're on your own getting aboard.
