Train from Nice to Italy
We're thinking of taking the train from Nice along the coast to Italy, probably ending in Florence. Has anyone taken this train? A trip report would be very much appreciated!

It is fast from Nice to Genova, then slow but very scenic along the coast past the Cinque Terre to La Spezia, then to Pisa and on to Florence.
You will have to change trains several times.
Look at http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/quer...n?L=profi& and at www.trenitalia.it.

The reference library of a city near you may have the Thomas Cook European Road Timetable. This shows the connection Nice 1005, Genoa for lunch 1306 to 1411, Pisa 1721 to 1729, Florence 1833. Between Genoa and Pisa you have a choice of trains and I have chosen the slower. As you face forward you want to sit on the right hand side of the car.
