Train from Munich to Prague?

Is it worth it to change a trip strictly for bavaria to include a night or two in prague or ? how many hours does that take and how much?

That is a six hour train ride. It will probably cost about $100 second class. Check with www.bahn.de. Only you will know if it is worth it. I would do it for two nights.

Well, an 18€ Bayern Ticket plus 8€ from the border to Prague will do. I believe, it's worth it, just takes some time to get there. There is no high speed train.

I'd also recommend taking a night train, so you don't lose any daytime experience!

Maybe it's my age, or perhaps not feeling the need to eek out every waking minute of every day, but if you're going to do this,

I'd recommend taking a day train, so you don't kill the rest of your vacation due to a guaranteed lousy night sleep on a 6hr train ride!

It's not your age :). It the constant padam, padam, choo, choo, padam. I wouldn't do it at night, done it too many times already.

Well.....OK. I guess you know your sleep habits. I sleep like a rock so the sleeper train was fine for me!

The direct night train from Munich to Prague takes nine hours. It leaves at 23:07 and arrives at 08:15.

We have no idea what you mean logos. None of us is from Texas or square dances.

logos999 Nov 2nd, 2006 04:05 PM

Well it means: "There are many stations on the swabian railway". Maybe you get the idea :-)

logos999 Nov 2nd, 2006 04:06 PM

Would be better translated as "a awful lot of stations"
