Train from Milan to Florence

What is the best way to take a train from Milan to Florence, when arriving at Malpenza? Is there a connection from the airport to a main train station?

On the TrenItalia site they show quite a few stations in Milan, but who knows which is closer

No, you must take the shuttle bus from Malpensa to Milan Centrale. It takes about an hour. From Milan Centrale, there is now the fast train to Florence which takes about 2 hours.

Is there anyway to get to town faster, or a closer train station than one hour away? Maybe a regional jet flight would be faster?? since I will already be in the airport. Any thoughts

Intex - Ky has given you the fastest public transport option to Milano Centrale station. Taxi really wouldn't be any quicker ...

If you prefer to fly, check the Malpensa Airport website for options ...
