Challiman, are you doing your entire trip in Scotland by train? Hubby and I are going next year so look forward to your trip report. How much was the train ticket from London,if you don't mind me asking? We are just starting our research to see outside London, Scotland, and Wales then taking a repositioning cruise back to U.S. can't wait!

Kylie's of Scotland provided the drivers. In Edinburgh we had a fantastic driver for just one day and he was very patient with me wanting to stop and get photos all day long. He was very knowledgeable and we couldn't have been happier.
For three days we had the same driver, but we stayed in a b& b and he picked us up each morning. He was funny, patient, and willing to deviate a bit from what we originally planned. We told them in advance our wish list and we did much of it, but weather one day was not good for viewing the mountains so we missed a bit for that.
I don't have my paperwork now but will give you the Kyles info later today, and the drivers they provided. One also is independent and I have his website.

peterad: You will do better if you start a new thread w/ your own questions instead of tagging on to Challiman's. And yes, you'll want to pre-book if you want any discounts. BTW - There is no train from LHR to Stratford-upon-Avon.
But start a new thread and we can give you advice/details . . .
