Train from Leipzig to Berlin: Which Station in Berlin?

I am going to be taking a train from Leipzig to Berlin staying at The Regent. I was wondering which train station in Berlin would be most convenient? Bahnhof Friedrichstraße? Hauptbahnhof? Or doesn't it really matter? Thanks!

My Frommers says that there are 17 trains a day from the Leipziger Hauptbahnhof on Willi-Brandt-Platz.

I looked up your hotel in Berlin. Bahnhof Friedrichstrasse will be more convenient, as you can hop on the U-bahn (U6) for one stop and get off at Franzosische Strasse stop. Your hotel is 1.5 block from that stop.

Thanks YK! That's what I thought too. I just wasn't sure.

Bus 147 will take you directly from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to Französische Strasse, and close to your hotel.

Suburban train/subway connections always incur 2 changes since ICE trains from Leipzig do not call at Friedrichstrasse but only Hauptbahnhof (and 2 other stations in Berlin which are somewhat irrelevant for you).
