train from Lauterbrunnen to Cinque Terre
 

According to the website (sbh) this trip can take 11-13 hours arriving in Manarola at either 8 in the evening or 4 in the morning. Once you get to Milan Centrale there are 2 layovers of almost 2 hours (don't remember specifically but seemed like a lot!) Is it possible to take a bus from Milano Centrale to Monterosso/Manarola? Would anything be gained?
