train from Krakow, Poland to Venice, Italy
I would appreciate suggestions on how to best get from Krakow, Poland to Venice, Italy by train in July for a family of four.
It looks like we may have to stop a couple of times and maybe even overnight on route. It doesn't look easy
Thanks,

It's going to take you 2 days to go by train. Can't you find an inexpensive intra-European flight such as Ryan Air or similar? It would probably be cheaper to fly.
You do not want to be on trains for 2 solid days and you do not want to spend a day on a Polish train with their unsavory lavatories (the only negative thing I encountered in Poland).
If you insist on doing this the best place to stop is probably Vienna. You need to be mindful of the 8 minute transfer at Breclav and have your luggage stationed at the door before the train stops. Stopping in Vienna will give you 2 days of approximately equal length travel. And from Vienna onward you'll have an Austrian train with better maintained facilities.
