Train From Geneva to Milan

Maybe Swandav can help me with this. Can anyone tell me as many towns as they could identify where the Geneva-Milan CIS train passes thru. The ones in the web are very few. I would be grateful if you could let me know as many towns as you could identify.

Hi NathanCLA,

Very happy to help!

According to the www.rail.ch website (after you get the connection, click on the name of the train to see its complete route), the CIS 37 (departing 08.50 and taking 3h45) goes through these towns: Geneva, Lausanne, Sion, Brig, Simplon, Domodossola, & Stressa. The EC 121 (departing 11.10 and taking 4h45) goes through these: Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Sion, Sierre, Brig, Simplon, Domodossola, Verbania, Stressa, Arona, & Gallarate.

Hope this helps!

Uhhhh..not to get too "precise" here but there is no way a westbound Cisalpino cannot "go through" Montreux.

The train will pass through every town on that rail route. If you use the www.bahn.de site you can find all of them.

One omission above is Morges.

Intrepid1,

Right, the trains go "through" some cities but may not stop there. I just checked the bahn.de site, which lists the exact same stops for the CIS 37. I think you need a regional-type train to stop in Morges.
