Train from Copenhagen to Stockholm

Is there a sleeper train from Copenhagen to Stockholm? I know about the x2000 but I want to experience a sleeper. I've done super fast rail in the past.

Hi TBJ,

I don't think so.

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

lists all of the trains in Europe, and they don't show one.

Of course there is a night train from København to Stockholm. I don't understand why it doesn't show on the Deutsche Bahn web site, but it's on www.dsb.dk. It leaves København at 2220 and reaches Stockholm at 0600 (or 0615 on Saturday mornings). The train has couchettes and sleepers.

Thanks Geoff.

I cant seem to get the schedule. Do you know if it runs ever night or just Friday nights. the dsb.dk site says my dates are to far out for a schedule. I'm traveling in October. Any other info would be helpful. Also do you how to get in touch with a scanrail agent?

I thought I had read in the Rick Steves newsletter that there aren't any more Copenhagen-Stockholm night trains.

Some of the railways' web sites are very badly laid-out. This is where I found the schedule for the night train from København to Stockholm:
www.dsb.dk;
select "udland";
select "Dag- og natforbindelser (køreplaner)";
select "rejser nord på: køreplaner";
this brings a diagramatic map and list of routes northwards from Denmark;
select "A. København - Stockholm".
This gives a timetable of day and night trains between København and Stockholm. The night train runs every night.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 10:04 AM.
