Train from Copenhagen to Prague

Hello, in July I am going to be taking a train from Copenhagen to Prague. For such a long ride I was wondering if there is anything to see from the window, and if there is anything I should know ahead of time. Appreciate all help.

The trip goes through Germany with two stops, and ends up in the evening in Prague.

I would travel in the night, there is not much to see.

Aye; its a long, long trip laddie.
Your best travel time from Copenhagen to Prague is 12 hours, 56 minutes.
Leave Copenhagen at 7:52 and arrive in Prague at 20:48. There is one change, which is in Hamburg.

If you take another train, your travel time can be as long as 20 hours.
There be nothing much to see, but I don't think riding at night is worth 16 hours of travel time with a couple of changes.

There will be schedule changes on June 15. So you need to check near that date for changes. The German train web site should have them because these are German trains, mostly. http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/detect.exe/bin/query.exe/e

It is Kopenhagen and Praha, for best results. The data is in English, but the city names are not.

Pack along a book or two, and a portable CD player with several cds.
I know last year I studied the complete libretto of the Tales of Hoffman, complete with some great singing on my way from Vienna to Munich.
