Train from CDG to Lyon
OK.
I have figured the web site out, figured out how to buy Prems etc. My question now... How long would you give yourself between the flight arrival at CDG and the train. My Delta flight from Atlanta is scheduled to arrive at 5:15 in the morning.... I am leaning towards a train close to 8:30. How does that sound to you expereinced CDG folks? I have landed there a lot, but I generally just head directly to Paris. |
I forget which terminal Delta flies into, but if it's Terminal 2, you've got plenty of time. If it's Terminal 1 you're still in good shape unless your plane is late arriving.

2 to 2 1/2 hours. 8:30 would be perfect.

Sounds good to me. You'll be on the train plenty early.

On my trip to Lyon couple of years ago I landed at 2A (carry on luggage) and within an hour, with meandering and stops at magazine stores, I was at the TGV station.

Thanks for the reassurance.
I am pulling this trip together in a very short period of time. (I found a Frequent Flyer ticket Tuesday, booked it today and leave 3/19) Have hotel in Lyon and Paris (using Marriott rewards for Paris) Now to decide on Dijon or Beaune for my other night away from Paris.... |
In March, I would go to Dijon. Lots more to do in Dijon than in Beaune. If you were traveling from May to Sept and were also visiting Paris & Lyon (like you are) - I might recommend Beaune just to get a small city/village feel & linger at an outside cafe or two.
If the weather is bad - Dijon would be better, IMO. Actually, better/more outside cafes in Dijon. Stu Dudley |
Thanks Stu....I will look into hotels in Dijon.

Jura/Tulip is 50 yds from the train station. We stayed there.
