Train from Barcelona-Saints to Estacio de Franca

Hi,

We will be arriving by train from Seville to Barcelona which stops in Saints station. Looking at google maps it shows that train R2S stops in in both Saints and Estacio de Franca, I hope this is correct? (this is closest station from our apartment in El Born)

If this is correct, where can we buy tickets for this train? Do we need to get out trough gates, buy tickets and get back in?

Are you talking about changing to the Barcelona METRO?

You are correct that there is a commuter route that runs from station to station, OP. It's not part of the metro, but it is shown on the metro map along with other forms of city centre transport like the tram routes. I think you might be able to use the standard T10 card for this, though it would be good if someone could confirm that.

That is, if the commuter route is also run by TMB - if it's not then you will probably need a separate ticket

I thank RM67 for clarifying this for you. However, are you certain simply taking a taxi from Sants directly to your apartment isn't actually worth the money for the convenience alone?

To be honest, the metro is quick and easy to use too, with machines all giving you English language options, so there's no need to worry too much about this.

Thank you guys!

From what I understand R2S is a renfe train, not metro? I guess we could catch a taxi from Saints, but I thought if we can go from one train to another it shouldn't be a problem too.

Lot's of useful info here, including extremely detailed information about how to buy tickets, etc.:

Thank kja, looked for the info in your link, but couldn't find anything about where can I buy tickets for R2 line.

no problem kja, not your fault :)

I guess will figure it out once we there, if too confusing will use taxi instead.
