Train fare from Paris to Nice
I need help with purchasing train tickets from Paris to Nice:
I will be arriving in Paris on Sept 3 at 7:15(sunday) and i am hoping to catch the 9:34 or 11:20 TGV to Nice then a local train on to Monaco.
I will be staying in this area for 6 days then back to paris for 3 more then home.
I checked prices on RailEurope and it would cost me around 200 US for a round trip purchase not including the reservation.
Its looks like a one country rail pass would be cheaper over all.
I have traveled on the trains through Germany, Austria etc, but i used point to point tickets and it came out cheaper.
So now i am confused.
Any ideas???

Go and print off a cheaper ticket at www.sncf/voyages.com and search this forum for MorganB's guide to French tickets if you need any help - this is your best bet.

I don't really understand your question but as PalQ says, there are much cheaper options on the sncf website. I see what looks like 40e each way or 80e. But I also wonder why you wouldn't consider flying there since you're not stopping in Paris at the beginning of the trip. If you're willing to fly in the evening, Easy Jet has a flight from CDG to Nice for 35e one way. Then come back to Paris by train.

Thanks mclaurie and palq,
Actually I did check Easy jet, the 8:40 is way to close to my landing and i have been through CDG before, its not easy to navigate and the later flight is too late...
I train will get me to nice by 3 which is a good time
