Can anyone tell me anything about the train des pignes, is it worth a trip, if so should we go the full trip or just part of the way ?Any info would be much appreciated.<BR>

There was an article on this in the June 23 Travel section of the L.A. Times. I already threw mine out, but maybe you can get a copy somewhere. Good luck.

Hi Olga - I took the train des pignes from Nice to Entrevaux last fall. It was about a 90 minute ride - then I walked around the town for almost two hours and caught the train back. I felt that going all the way to Digne was too long a trip and I would just have to turn around and come back. There is a lot of info available on the different towns along the train route as well as the schedule on www.beyond.fr. I really enjoyed it and felt it was a great adventure!
