Train: CDG to Bordeaux, why not??

In checking out possible routes from Paris or CDG to Bordeaux, I've tried to see about reserving thru "idtgv" from CDG to Bordeaux on Friday, Sept. 23.

The reservation page on the internet will only allow me to choose CDG to Avignon or two other places, but not Bordeaux.

Is there no TGV to Bordeaux from CDG on Fridays? or is it just the IDTGV site doesn't book them?

Help! this only gets more complicated! Now our friends want to go from CDG, and we were all set to go from Montparnasse!

The idtgv is only available on limited routes and CDG to Bordeaux may not be one of them. In this case you need to book with sncf as St Cirq recommends.

You could use the voyages-sncf site as suggested by St. Cirq, or if you prefer to work in English, this site might be easier:

http://www.tgv-europe.com/en/?DISTRIBUTED_COUNTRY=GB

When you enter your departure/arrival etc., a box comes up asking if you prefer to be transferred to the Rail Europe site or continue with the TGV-Europe site. Stay on the TGV-Europe site, and proceed to select your train and seats.
There is an option to print your own tickets.

Note that on the 10h01, 13h37 and the 16h36 trains that the 1st class fare is only a few euro more than 2nd class.
