Maybe contact Police Station in Bayeux or Rouen and I am sure they can direct you as to where you can pay.

Where do you live??? I've received several tickets. The auto rental company will supply the police with your name & address, and if the ticket is "serious" enough, the police will send you a letter & you can pay on-line. I've received 4 tickets and had to pay once. The police never contacted me on the other three. These were all at least 3 years ago. One was just a parking ticket, and the others were for speeding.

Wait for something in the mail. It probably won't come. If you rented a car, however, you might get a 30E or so "charge" from the rental company for supplying your name/address to the police.

As Stu says the rental company will send it through eventually if they get it. If you get one you have to pay the rental car for the pleasure and you pay on line asap. Some regions get antsi if payments are delayed.

Normally, the tickets have a website indicated on them for people to pay by card online.
