Trafalgar Square Snowed In!

CBC News just showed Lord Nelson's statue in London's Trafalgar Square surrounded by mounds of snow and tykes gleefully playing in it. A publicity stunt by a London bank, the snow show be melted by tomorrow. London rarely anymore gets any snow so this will be a treat for folks of all ages.

If they wish to prolong the excitement I can send them about 300 metric tonnes from the front garden of my home in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada -- world's second-coldest capital, after Moscow.......

Weird, I haven't heard a word about this, and I live here!

Well on CBC they showed kids throwing snowballs in front on the Lord Nelson statue - i don't know if it's really true or not. CBC says it was.

When I lived in south Florida, snow was hauled in around this time every year as a treat for the kids. Unfortunately, not having the experience of regular snow, they didn't know to play in it and there were broken arms and bloody noses every year.

When I lived in Rochester, New York, we had several feet of snow every year, everyone was thoroughly used to it, and we had broken arms and bloody noses every year. It's called "hockey."
