I'm watching the old codger while playing Satan Rejected my Soul by Morrisey. It's funny, it works.

stokebailey- no all nighter, I fell asleep. I turned on my computer as soon as I woke up though. I'm trying to clean right now but I can't seem resist the hypnotic lure of these plinth people.

I'm glad a woman's up next- women seem to be more interesting then the men (well except for the snow leopard)

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 10:14 AM

Plinthers: the whole world's watching. The current woman is playing to the Trafalgar Square crowd and ignoring us webcammers.

ElendilPickle Jul 17th, 2009 11:39 AM

Blasted dialup connection - I can't see any of it.

>>well, maybe as interesting as the guy this afternoon who just sat there drinking beer. Never moved that I saw.<<

C_W didn't tell us he made the cut!

:)

Nah - I think the beer drinker was a bit younger than our C_W

It is really too bad you can't see them - it is like being in the center of London, there are several camera angles, and the plinthers wear portable mics so we can hear everything going on including some of the hecklers/fans down below.

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 01:13 PM

...and the rain falls on the boring and the nonboring.

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 03:05 PM

Jogging in place. Part of the great portrait.

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 05:28 PM

I've been glancing at it from time to time at work. The 0200-0300 young guy who's starting to wrap himself in aluminum foil looks like someone who understands the visual nature of this project.

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 06:44 PM

You guys are missing something with the 0300-0400 guy, who really understands costuming.

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 06:52 PM

IF you must know, I also liked it when he stripped down to his skivvies so he could put on the white pantyhose and build from there.

janisj Jul 17th, 2009 06:55 PM

oh - great -- I leave for a while and miss skivvies :(

But his costume is beautiful . . . .

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 07:18 PM

David_M. It turns out you can replay them after awhile. Maybe you could fast forward to that point.

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 07:35 PM

Anonymous from 04-0500 is just standing there looking manly and attractive.

janisj Jul 17th, 2009 07:52 PM

OH NOOOOO!

I didn't realize you could go back and view them again (and those you missed the first time around!) When will I ever get out of the house or get any work done????

I'm doomed!!!!! . . . .

stokebailey Jul 17th, 2009 08:09 PM

I might check Tallulah out sometime when I can turn on the sound. She has a nice sassy look too.

MissPrism Jul 18th, 2009 12:53 AM

The present one is a female harp playing Alaskan from Scotland.

Cholmondley_Warner Jul 18th, 2009 01:47 AM

C_W didn't tell us he made the cut!>>>>

He didn't. Well not yet. There's one draw left - so who knows.

God knows what I'll do if I do get picked. I'm thinking of dressing up as Napoleon and flicking the Vs at Nelson for an hour.

You can still register I believe.

helen_belsize Jul 18th, 2009 03:34 AM

This is quite addictive, currently a young 19th century sculpture specialist who is just being there! But you can see the fountains and people in the square too.

Coming up a campaigner for cycling and safer conditions on London's roads for cyclists. You have to be able to carry the items you take with you, will he get a bike up there?

wellididntknowthat Jul 18th, 2009 04:14 AM

By the time this current guy gets his act together it'll be time to get off. I hate him already.

Cholmondley_Warner Jul 18th, 2009 09:56 AM

You have to be able to carry the items you take with you, will he get a bike up there?>>>

As I have resgistered I have checked this out.

You are lifted into place by a cherry picker.

janisj Jul 18th, 2009 10:06 AM

"<i>You have to be able to carry the items you take with you, will he get a bike up there?</i>"

He wasn't the first one w/ a bike. And some other bulky things have gone up. It look as long as it can get in the cherry picker and the plinther can carry it on/off solo pretty much anything goes.

Now a chatty Scot in a kilt!
