oh good, guess where we're going in a week's time?

the brittany coast just north of .st. Brieuc of course.

I'll be careful to avoid any beaches with wild boat rotting on them!

Annhig, those rotting wild boats are only dangerous when you're out at sea.

Good one, Nikki!

Very sad. That beach doesn't look particularly healthy, gas fumes aside.

Annhig, from what I hear of the weather you weren't going to be doing a lot of beach time anyway. If you haven't visited the town of Guimpcamp nearby, it has a most unusual church, architecturally, with a black madonna. Very nice old town centre.

Fort La Latte on the coast is spectacular. It is where the movie "The Vikings", starring Kirk Douglas was flimed.

Pauvre Bretagne! Kenavo.

rotting wild BOAT? where did that come from?

I haven't looked at the weather forecast for the area yet - i was rather assuming that it would be like here [cornwall] but a bit warmer.

I'll be grateful for all suggestions for wet/overcast weather activities in the area.

I saw a rotting, wild boat
What once was just another shoat.
If belly holds he'll surely float
And soon enough become a boat.

Ahah, writing poetry.

thank you Fra Diavolo, I hadn't thought of that!
