Lucca is flat and good for cycling, bicycles everywhere, and there's also the path on top of the city wall, good for cycling and walking with a great view down into the town. If you google "Lucca" and zoom in on the old town, you'll see it, called Passegiatta Mura, a gray line around the edge of the town. Entrances are in various spots on the inside of the wall, some are stairs up what looks like a grassy bank, if I recall correctly.

You might like to start a new thread of your own, so you get more information, as your question is different than the original here.

I meant google maps, not regular google, although it may get you there too.

If biking in summer start early in the day - Lucca like the whole Florence area swelters in midday - avg temps for Florence at least are in the 90s for afternoon highs.

I recommend that you visit hilltop walled town of Volterra, set up high on a hill. You enter an underground garage right before arriving at the town. Famous for alabaster. It is considered one of the most significant historical towns in Tuscany. Beautiful views from Volterra of Tuscany.

Also, we spent four nights in Lucca, and never ventured outside the walls. It was wonderful being there and without knowing it, we experienced it’s saint’s day with medieval parades and votive candles lit all over the city. Lucca has it’s own cuisine too.
We saw Volterra later in that trip also had more time in other locations in Tuscany.
