Tower of london Tickets
Is it possible to buy tickets to the Tower in advance? I thought I had seen that you could buy them at tube stations, but now I can't find that info. Thanks for the help

Thank you very much!

You can also book online from the Historic Royal Palaces website:

And paying for the ticket early can save a lot of time. When I was there, the line to purchase tickets had several hundred people in it.
Keith PS: You can also get free tickets to the late evening Ceremony of the Keys, but you need to request a ticket in advance. |
I'm sure that there is an answer to this somewhere on this site, but I haven't found it yet!!!
If anyone has the information that I would need to request tickets for the Ceremony of the Keys, I would truly appreciate it! I know that they have to be requested in advance, but not quite sure how to do that! Thanks! Rose |
Mamarosa - Up-to-date Ceremony of the Keys information (including how to order tickets) can be found at:
http://www.londontown.com/London/Ceremony_of_the_Keys/ Going_places - when are you in London and are you travelling with anyone else? The reason for asking is that until 31 May 2005 you can get 2 for 1 tickets for the Tower. I posted about this a few weeks ago, let me know if this would be of help to you. |
Thanks so much! I'll check that out right now! I must have overlooked this information when I was on that site earlier!
What a shame about the 2 for 1, it lookst like we'll be at the Tower on June 1st! Oh well! Thanks again for the info! Much appreciated! |
I plan to see the following and would like to know if there is a "pass" like you would get in Paris with their 3-day musuem pass. I'll be in London in May for 3 days:
Tower of London St Pauls British Museum V&A National Portrait museum Somerset House Is there such a pass that includes transportation too? I'm not sure which kind of travel card to get for the 3 days or if I do lots of walking if it's worth it at all. Thanks a lot! Mary |
PS: War rooms too!

Yeah, there's this deal called londonpass.com that really isn't a economical unless you hit a lot of places in a day (or want to see EVERYTHING and get a 7-day pass). They do offer a twofer frequently though, so sometimes it's easy to beat the break-even point.
