Tours, Private guides, etc ?'s

It was suggested that we may get more out of personal tours guides for some of the places we're going to visit. I was interested in feedback for Toledo, Alhambra, possibly Cordoba. We are good independent travelers but I do think their is merit in being led by an expert. That being said, we don't particularly like being herded in a group either. So, if there are any recommendations I would love to hear them!

You can find guides at each of your destinations, and at a reasonable price. And yes, it is worth it if you want first hand knowledge. The tourist offices in Toledo, Granada and Cordoba can recommend a good, officially licensed guide you can hire, but you will have to make the arrangements in advance.

Do they have a website?

Check Maribel's Guides online. She's the expert on Spain, is often on Fodor's, and has a ton of helpful information - and I think she gives tours as well. Google her.
