Tours in Rome
Hi,
We definitely want to take a guided tour of the Vatican and the Ancient Rome area. We are considering Enjoy Rome or Through Eternity Tours. I like Through Eternity better but am wondering if they are too intense. Meaning too overwhelming...too long etc. Any thoughts? |
We took a Scala Reale tour of the Vatican and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I do, however, remember that there have been several discussions on Enjoy Rome and Through Eternity here. Do a search on those tours and you should get some helpful information. |
I did the Enjoy Rome evening tour, it was mostly ancient sites but also Trevi fountain. It was just what I was looking for at the end of a day of sightseeing, moderate pace, hit the highlights, interesting and educational but not too intense (though we were tired by the time it ended around 9:30). The price is certainly attractive. I'd recommend this as part of a day of sightseeing, but if you are looking for something to be the bulk of your sightseeing experience that day I might go with a more in depth tour company.

Try Roman Odyssey Tours. Affordable, informative tours by a former theological student from New Orleans and his group.

Hi there, We just used Roman Promenades and the woman we had was wonderful!

I also recommend Scala Reale. The docents are art historians and architects and the tours are incredible. You can find them at ContextRome.com

Another vote for Scale Reale tours. They are the best. Enjoy! AKNIC |
Scala Reale decided to rip me off my charging my credit card in US$. This particularly annoyed me as I live in the UK and they had my UK address.

We used Through Eternity Tours during our visit in Sept this year. It was a wonderful experience although a long day. Andrew was our tour guide and I would highly recommend this tour company. Very professional and informative.
