tours in barcelona

has anyone used the tour company Viator? What was your experience. We will be spending 2 days in Barcelona so we prefer to use a tour. There are only two of us and most tours require that you pay for the full van. Cannot walk long distances.

Viator is a broker, not a tour operator. They offer a decent service, we've used them for clients on selected tours outside of the city, but I wouldn't recommend them for a tour of Barcelona. You can check with Marta at Forever Barcelona (www.foreverbarcelona.com), or if she can recommend someone. The same goes for Sandra of Barcelona Sandra Tours (www.barcelonasandratours.com). Check with Spanish Trails (www.spanish-trails.com). They offer a city tour and may have an opening if there are only the two of you.

You can also check the Barcelona Tour Guides website (www.barcelonatourguides.com) to see what they have to offer.

These are all Licensed Tour Guides.

The city tourist office also conducts tours.

Maribel's Guide to Barcelona is a little outdated, but still has useful information on guides and visiting the city (www.maribelsguides.com).
