Tours by Roberto

Has anyone taken any tours with Tours by Roberto in Italy. Rick Steves recommends them, but I like to get comments from this site. Thanks for any information you can provide me.

We did a day trip out of Siena with Roberto last November and loved it. He is passionate about Tuscany and Etruscan history and is very funny. I highly recommend him:
http://www.toursbyroberto.com/

We spent 3 days touring with Roberto 2 years ago. It was great. He's alot of fun. He is passionate about his country, and his city (Siena). He relates well to Americans (he's married to one) and he loves to share the culture and the history with you. He likes to take tourists to sites that are off the beaten track. We also visited a friend's winery and had a good time taste testing. I'd definitely hire him again if we returned to the area and I think you'll enjoy yourself if you tour with him. His fees are not cheap, but you learn so much more about the history of the area by being with a guide.

Karen, can you be specific about Roberto's "not cheap" fees? We would appreciate it for budgeting purposes. Thanks. Sallie.

Sallie-
For prices, check on Roberto's website. It depends on the number of people in the group. For 2 people, it's $90 each, but for a group of 7 or 8 people, he charges $60 per person. If you have a large group, the price is more reasonable per person. Check his website
http://www.toursbyroberto.com/
