Touring paris

Can you tell me the best way to go from Orly airport to rue bergere (opera district)? How much would it cost by taxi?
And is there a tour like the one in NYC (APPLE tour), where you can hop on/off a bus to see Paris?

For hop on/off, I prefer L'Open Tour - double decker, open top, green and yellow busses. Plenty of places to catch it. No need to buy pass in advance, just pay when you board. Comes with headphones and commentary in several languages.

A taxi would probably cost around 40 euro from Orly to Opera. People have different opinions on what way is "best", it depends on cheapness vs. time/hassles.

Aside from Open Tour, there is Les Cars Rouges which does the same thing. www.carsrouges.com

If you want to go via metro, take the people-mover right from the airport to Antony, a stop on RER line B, go to Chatelet-les-Halles and transfer to line A to Auber-Opera stop.

Since Christina so nicely posted the website of Les Cars Rouges, I decided to check it out. I was surprised at the difference in the price!

For a one day tour, the price is almost equal: 22€ for Rouges and 24€ for Open. But for only 3€ more, you can have 2 days on Open with children's tickets at 2 days for no extra charge. And you can board the Open at almost all RATP bus stops.

I am taking my 11 year old for his first time next month and I had thought I might choose Rouges this time. But Open is definitely the better value. Here's their website if you want to look.
