Tour the White Hills as a Day Trip
Was wondering if it is possible to ......
Pickup a rentacar in Sevilla, drive to Ronda-Grazalema-Arcos-Jerez as a day trip, ending up in Jerez where I would drop the car and train back to Seville. This would be done in a single day. Google maps says it is 240 kms (150 miles) and about 4 hours driving.
Am I crazy, or is this a good idea?
Wouldn't leave much time to explore any of the cities, but from what I understand it is mostly a scenic trip anyway? We could picnic and poke along at leisure. I have driven considerably on windy roads and that doesn't pose a threat.
Thanks for any or all advice, these two retired Canadians truly appreciate it!
Cheers

You can drive it but you won;t see anything - and I don't understand what you would get out of it. We did Ronda as a day trip from Marbella, and it was a pleasant day. I wouldn;t have wanted to try to see anyplace else - esp given the mountainroads.

This outline for a driving tour might be helpful. I stayed in Arcos for 2 nights a number of years ago and decided that even the Arcos to Ronda RT was too far for a daytrip.

Thanks everyone for your assistance...I think there is no easy way to do the White Cities, so will content myself with daytrips from Barcelona, Madrid & Sevilla, as I know there is plenty to see and enjoy with those destinations!

I think is doable if you skip Ronda and drive to Grazalema, then to Arcos thru the scenic road A-372 (El Boyar mirador, El Bosque). Towns are not big, parking is easy. Be careful when arriving at Arcos, make sure you follow "to Parador" signs. I'd suggest turning left at Venta Pajuelo and arriving to the bridges south of town on CA-6104
