1 and 1/2 years ago, my daughter and I went on a 8 day 'taste of britain' tour with Trafalgar. This gave us a view of England outside London, and Scotland. Then we stayed 7 days by ourselves in London, which Trafalgar made the accomodations for rooms, breakfasts, and transfers to the plane. 15 days of rooms, air, breakfasts, and about 4 dinners was about 2,000 dollars. We were VERY pleased with Trafalgar. The guide was a delight, great accomodations, good meals, and pleasant busses. It was great for a first timer to have someone else tell about the history, and sights. It is easy to be in London on your own, and the tube and train are easy. I would not hesitate to go on my own next time. But, this was fun the first time. Have fun, enjoy, and do your research
