Tour operator to Cesky Krumlov

Can anyone recommend a tour operator for a day trip to Cesky Krumlov from Prague?

Thank you,
Molly

You don't really need a tour but this was recommended on Trip Advisor.

If you just want a driver and not a tour guide (less expensive) I can recommend Mike's Limo Service. I recommended Mike to a co-worker for a recent transfer in Prague and my co-worker was entirely satisfied.

You can also email the Prague tourist office.

Last month I used Premiant City Tours for a day trip to Cesky Krumlov. The group departed at 8:45 a.m. from Na Prikope 23. The length of the tour was ten hours. A tour of the castle and a nice lunch were included in the price.

To KL467,

I have been reading a lot of negative reviews of Premiant Tours. How was the guide? Did you understand his English?
Most of the criticisms are about guides who do not speak clearly and do not seem knowledgeable about the sites. There are even criticisms about the bus drivers driving badly.

Thank you,
Molly

I took Martin TOur to CK and that was excellent. The guide was fluent in several languages, no problem understanding him, and we got a special tour of an area in the castle that people just in line with no special arrangement cannot see. We also stopped in some very interesting church just on the outside of CK. Plenty of free time, also. The only quibble I have is it was a very small group and a small regular van (6-8), so the seats were not as comfortable as some of those bigger buses given the ride is 2-3 hours each way, I guess. But otherwise I have no complaints.

Otherwise, I have taken a tour by Prague Sightseeing tours which was also excellent and in a nice comfortable bus. The guide was outstanding. Now that tour was to Kutna Hora, but I am extrapolating that if that is their quality, their CK one should be okay, also. That guide spoken English very well, also.

So both those companies had guides that were extremely knowledgable and spoke English well, and the drivers were fine. They both cost about the same around 1600 CK which I think is around US$80.

Molly, for Premiant Tours, the guide was fluent in six languages and she was very easy to understand. She was very personable. She handled the situation well when a French man on our day trip got his credit cards stolen. The van ride to Cesky Krumlov was good, but was a "little" fast on the way back. I also used Premiant Tours for two other outings in Prague, and they were fine. All of my guides were easy to understand. Overall, I would rate them as good, but not great. Loved Cesky Krumlov!
