tour of scotland

I'm planning a tour of Scotland next year with some friends for 9-10 days. Can someone recommend a good tour company for 30 something year olds? This will be our first time to Scotland.

Where in Scotland will you be visiting?

Have heard good reports about Tartan Trax www.tartantrax.com They can apparently design a tour around your groups wishes and budget. May be worth dropping them an email and see what they can provide.

there are a few decent tour companies. But I have a couple of questions -- 1) How many of you? and 2) Why do you think you want/need a tour?

The answers to these will help us give you better advice.

there are four girls going. We've never been to Scotland so we are not sure which area would be best. We'd like to see several diffrent areas while we are there. I like a preplanned tour that will take care of the sightseeing, traveling to different cities and arrange hotel stays.

Another tour which may be of interest if you are willing to take a back pack tour can be found at www.wild-in-scotland.com They have tours lasting up to nine days - I like the look of the seven day tour covering Orkney and Skye.
