tour of Jewish ghetto
Hi all,
I will be in Venice for 4 days mid October.
A friend did a walking tour through the Jewish Ghetto there but all I can find are tours about Jewish food.
I live in New York - don't need to learn about the food.
Does anyone have leads about serious walk through synagogues and history of the ghetto??
As always - thanks.

There’s this one.

Your friend might have used a private guide, or even a seasonal one. Seems like your best lead would be to ask them?

I took this tour last fall, http://www.museoebraico.it/en/guided-tours. Saw three of the five synagogues and our guide was informative and entertaining. He mentioned that he’d previously toured both Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Henry Kissinger.

Synagogues - Museo Ebraico di Venezia
I have also taken tours through the museum. The website gives you all the info on synagogues, tours, etc. If you can't arrange a tour online, just go to the museum when you get to Venice to pick your tour and buy tickets. It is very interesting as is the surrounding area.

Contact Roberta Curiel at Walks Inside Venice. Great tour guide and she has written a book on the Venetian Ghetto. https://www.walksinsidevenice.com/who-we-are.php
