Tour of Galway
Has anyone done the guided Segway Tour of Galway? Is it worth it? Are there other guided tours, such as tour bus, walking tour, etc. in Galway? Which would you recommend in May 2012?

Also, what hotel would you recommend that is close to the Dublin airport, has fairly comfortable beds and soundproof rooms so we can get a good night's sleep, has a free (or inexpensive) shuttle service to the airport, has an early and free breakfast (or something inexpensive, if it's not free)? Our flight is at 10am, and we've been told we should get to the airport 3 hours before that, in order to get through security and the customs lines before boarding our American Airlines flight home. We can't afford a top of the line hotel, but don't want to stay in an 'unsavory' place either. Any good suggestions? Thanks for your help!

No so no Idea.
http://www.livingsocial.com/cities/5...ide-experience There is a guided walking tour. http://www.walkingtoursgalway.com/index.html http://galwayonfoot.com/ Corrib Princess up the river. http://www.corribprincess.ie/ Then there are any number of tours for Aran's, Burren and Connemara (alphabetically) |
Thanks, Tony, for your reply. We had seen the offer on Living Social and were wondering if anyone had any firsthand knowledge of the segway tour. :) I think we've decided to do the walking tour. I appreciate your input!
Do you have any suggestions for my Dublin airport hotel question? Thanks for your help! :) |
I try to avoid Dublin to be honest but if we have to meet someone coming in early then we have used the Maldron in Smithfield just west of the centre. I think this is on the 747 airlink route?
http://maldronhotelsmithfield.com/ For the Airport then Premier Inn is my personal choice. we have also used the Travelodge at Swards cheap but no shuttle. http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/D...dublin-airport |
