tour companies

Does anyone have any suggestions of tour companies, either land or river cruise, that you really liked for Portugal. We are two fit seniors

I doubt you'll get much help here -- most Fodorites are firmly committed to independent travel. And Portugal is exceedingly easy to visit on one's own! If you have questions about that option, ask away -- I'm sure many of us will be happy to help.

I think it also helps to know in advance what you want to see/do in Portugal so that you can compare the tours you find.

FWIW, my sister- and brother-in-law did a small-group tour with Abercrombie & Kent. They had a wonderful time, but the cost per person was stunning.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the two Road Scholars tours we have taken but those did not take place in Portugal.

Collette has several Portugal tours I’ve been considering. I have not been yet as I can’t find anyone who wants to go with me, but planning to suck it up and pay the extra money and go myself next year.

RWIW, visiting Portugal on your own is exceedingly easy.
