Torun and Zamosc similar?
 

hi, I was hoping to get information from Fodorites who have been to both Zamosc and Torun. We plan to spend time in both Krakow area and in the Gdansk area but were wondering if in the interest of time, one might be a better choice to tour than try to squeeze in both sites. We would appreciate your opinion.

Torun is a two hour drive from Gdansk, Zamosc is a full day drive from Krakow. Both are worth a visit.

Gdansk to Torun to Biskupin and back to Gdansk is one of my favourite day drives.

thanks very much for your feed back. I noted that it is about 180 miles from Krakow to Zamosc. It looks like the streets are not the best.

You can quite easily assume that to be the case for roughly 90% of the roads in Poland, unless it's a motorway.

Torun be your better option - are 2 cities same? no especially when considering their history and architecture.

if you have some extra time - visit some castles between Torun and Gdansk ( Golub-Dobrzyn, Gniew, Malbork ) you can google teir photos. Also near Torun for stress free, cheaper then torun accommodations with more parking visit spa town of Ciechocinek ( http://www.ciechocinek.pl/index.php?lang=2 )
