Torino Train Stations?
DH and I are taking a train from Milano to Torino to attend an Olympic Ice Hockey match in February. The event is going to be at the Palasport Olimpico venue.
Does anyone know Torino well enough to be able to advise which train station will be nearer to the venue? I think Torino P. Nuova would be the best choice, but would like to tap into the group wisdom to confirm this. Thanks in advance! Koshka |

Busy board today! |
I have never been to Turin, but I looked up the info for you. Most trains coming in from Milan first stop at Porta Susa; it then continues south and the loop around to go north to the main train station Porta Nuova. Most trains are scheduled to arrive P. Nuova 15 minutes after P. Susa.
From P. Susa, you can take #10 (no idea if it's a bus or tram or what) to Palasport Olimpico. From P. Nuova, you can take the special X4 to the venue. I have no idea which is easier, but from P. Susa, it appears that you get a 15-minute headstart. |
Thanks! I appreciate the reply!

Yes--use Torino Porta Nuova--that is the large, main station, and there are shuttles to all the olympic events.
