Torino hotel
My husband and I will be travelling to Torino in July wtih our two grand daughters ages 10 and 12. Last year we stayed at a lovely hotel (Biancomano) near the Porta Nuova train station. The rooms were very pretty, the staff and owner welcoming, the location perfect, etc. - BUT, we need a hotel that has more of a breakfast - not just coffee and rolls and more importantly one that is more likely to have a room with two double or queen beds so that we are not separated from the girls.
Any suggestions are welcomed - of course we'd like to be in the old town and close to the action! |

Our family loved the HOTEL GENIO (a Best Western grouping) in Torino. Same location, huge rooms, etc.

Grazie Vincenzo,
I have reserved at Urbani.. I emailed them to see what the situation was re. the girls in our room and I received an immediate reply that they could give us two rooms connected by a door - that works - with a price per person per night that was comparable to one room (without the girls) at other hotels. Thank you! |
The street can get a little bit gritty after dark near the Urbani. The Genio is on Victor Emanuelle II, which as you know is more of a main drag. I wouldn't be too worried about safety but you might need to explain hookers to the girls ...
In the meantime, you are close to Cera una Volta, a wonderful restaurant, and not too far from the very fun La Cantinella across the Po. |
