Topping?

What does "topping" mean as a response to a question? I see this on several posts and am not familiar with this response. Thanks!

It means that it is an old post of interest, or still needing a reply, and someone has moved it to the top of the list so that it can get attention. Anyone can do this.

Dear KathrynT,

If a post goes unanswered for a while, someone will 'top' it to bring it back to the beginning of the list of posts thereby allowing more people to see it than if it were buried (so to speak) as #87 on the list of posts.

Posting anything brings a thread to the top of the forum. So when somone wants to raise a thread for they just use topping or TTT (to the top)

We're coming up on an "anniversary" soon - - just about two months now since registration started (and what a positive change it has brought to the board) - - an with it, the ease of being able to find your own posts here, as well as the much easier way to cite the URL of an individual thread. More and more, the practice of "topping" is fading into obscurity, as it is less and less relevant.
I was wondering the same thing.
