Top Rome Hotels by Spanish Steps
Hi,
I am traveling to Rome in May and was looking for some suggestions about good hotels close to the Spanish Steps for under 300 EUR a night for 2 people.

You'll never get the Hassler for anywhere near 300 EUR. Take a look at this map of hotels in the JDB Collection ... https://www.jdbhotels.com/maps/map_rome.asp
While you can book each hotel from its own website JDB's prices include all taxes, and you'll likely get blocked into a better room. JDB features 4*-type hotels, just under the 5* super luxury category, but you save bundles of cash. I think this is the value point of the upscale market in Itay. However, JDB only sells through travel agents. On request, I can refer you to one who won't charge booking fees.

I really enjoyed the Rome Sofitel hotel. It is about a 2-3 minute walk to the top of the Spanish Steps. The hotel was comfortable and charming. Check out reviews at tripadvisor.com.
Enjoy your trip!

We stayed at La Residenza on Emilio Street and like it very much. It's about a 15 minute walk to the top of the Spanish Steps, through a very nice commercial neighbourhood. Large rooms and bathrooms, beautiful common rooms, incredibly large and good breakfast buffet. Sorry, I can't remember the price but I'm certain it's under 300E.
