"Top Optional"your view

Any funny/informative comments on an American wife sunning on the beaches of the South of France.Humor only re the French/American differences. She is quite independent. The subject of shorts and "dresses" off the beach also.Keep it light please. Thanks

Why? Are you collecting material to write a comic strip, or what?

Jocelyn_P Apr 23rd, 2005 02:55 PM

I just have to laugh, because right underneath this post (it will change by the time you read this) is "Pompeii or Bust!"

tedgale Apr 23rd, 2005 03:22 PM

You have posted this item three times.

Clicking on your name I see a number of other posts about spas, bathing attire....

I gather from your post about damage to a rental car that you are an actual traveler.

But are you, perhaps, a bona fide traveler who also.... has some special needs?

Scarlett Apr 23rd, 2005 03:28 PM

Jocelyn LOL
As I commented on this question on the US board, I wonder if it is really the "wife" who is looking forward to the topless on the beach experience;)wink wink

Patrick Apr 23rd, 2005 03:31 PM

I was going to ask why you've posted this twice -- has your preoccupation with breasts caused you to start seeing everything double?

Then I see you've posted not two but three times. I think you've been "busted", fredmadcel.

Those that do don't talk; those that talk, don't do.

FREDMADCEL Apr 23rd, 2005 04:33 PM

The triple post is the result of sloppy posting thank you.The humor is appreciated the questioning of intent is unnecesary. Please continue and the dynamics of a relationship is quite common. We are all human and appreciate that. Thanks. When I feel I need therapy I will seek a professional-Please comment in a friendly fashion.Nothing serious have fun w/ this.

nytraveler Apr 23rd, 2005 04:57 PM

Is your wife aware of this fetish? Have you though about therapy for your obsession?

tedgale Apr 24th, 2005 02:27 PM

Just thought I'd retrieve some of the OP's earlier contributions on travel issues:

"How does a middle aged well kept American couple blend w/ the pool/beach crowd?"

" Looking forward to the "drama" of my American wife experiencing the beaches of the south of France.Any amusing stories/cultural advice etc regarding the subject of topless sunning."

"What constitutes SPA atire/privicy issues/atitudes in Germany or south of France. Are there any of note in the south of France?THANKS"

"Anyone w/ SPA information in Nice or Avignon-and SPA attire/ attidudes/ formality. Thanks"

"Suggestions for walk in SPA in Provence at reasonable price also attire etc /e-what to expect and whats great."

"Again how does one dress and how comfortable are the SPAs in Provence/ south of France.Expectations?......My question pertains more to sauna/massage facilities in a nice hotel/exercise center w/ pool maybe. We like things rather simple but nice/friendly.And reasonable"

".....Also"fitness centers" common in the larger towns /cities and if so what would be like?"

"There must exist a reasonable SPA in Nice-Any suggestions"

tedgale, LOL, thank you. A pattern is emerging in this Topless Drama, I think. Is there a wife at all? wink wink ;)

"Any funny/informative comments on an American wife sunning on the beaches of the South of France" - MAD FRED please give us your definition of "american wife".

sandi Apr 26th, 2005 11:32 AM

Fred - I think you're the one "who needs a life!" Maybe you'll find one at the Spa.

wliwl Apr 26th, 2005 12:07 PM

spooky

Scarlett Apr 26th, 2005 12:12 PM

any funny or informative....
I thought I was funny :(

mamc Apr 26th, 2005 12:47 PM

Scarlett, you were funny. I think FREDMAD's idea of funny probably isn't!

FREDMADCEL Apr 26th, 2005 03:02 PM

My apologies for offending anyone. We ( wife & I) be in the south of France for ten days in June.Beach and street attire are quite different in the two countries. Not wishing to offend and to blend as well as we can - all I ask is light (and as accurate as possible) insight into what one wears. Can we keep comments light and not personally hurtfull.

Scarlett Apr 26th, 2005 03:06 PM

Sorry, Fred, I would be happy to help you but I am busy right now, getting a life.
Have a good trip.

uuhhhh Apr 26th, 2005 03:29 PM

"How does a middle aged well kept American couple blend w/ the pool/beach crowd?"

i'd say much easier than blending with this crowd......
