Top agriturismos in Tuscany
We are a mature couple planning an extensive driving tour of Tuscany. We're starting in Tuscany's most northerly corner, ending up at its southern tip in Val d'Orcia. We're listing here our choices of agriturismos that we plan to book so that Fodorites who are making similar plans can save time surfing the internet's giant menu of choices. TripAdvisor gave these agriturismos its highest marks:
- CILLA is in the town of Giuncugnano in the northeast corner of the province of Lucca in Tuscany. Its setting is semi-Alpine, but the farm's elevation is 2,500 feet. - SETTESOLDI is in Chianti country in San Miniato. - ROMITORIO DI SERELLE is in Barberino Val d'Elsa - PIOMBAIA is in Montalcino - BONELLO is in Pienza - GROSSOLA is in Castiglione d'Orcia Safe driving....Shermy |
Your choices don't make much sense. Many are not so easy to day trip from. Have you looked at a map? I don't see the point of staying one place and then moving 20 minutes away to stay at the next place.

I agree with kybourbon. You only need three of these locations- near Lucca, Chianti, and one of the last three. Of the last three, IMO Bonello would be the most central for exploring the Val d'Orcia area.
How long is your trip? |

Does seem a little bit weird -- both some of the choices, AND registering to post these properties to save Fodorites internet searches :? |
In my first (and last) communication with this forum population, my try at being helpful and instructive winds up getting responses that are snide and carping.
So long, Fodorites! |
Strange!
Thanks, but why should I believe Tripadvisor? |
hmm. Obviously an authoritarian personality. And someone who hasn't noticed that most people who post here actually enjoy researching and making their choices....
I don't see any point in making recommendations until I'm back from my trips. |
WAIT A MIN--- It's an April Fool! How did I miss that.
