Just a heads up: We couldn't get our ATM cards to work in Bruges (or Ghent) when we were there last month. We had cards from two different banks, and tried many ATM machines over a period of five days. <BR><BR>We were also surprised to learn that Belgian banks would NOT exchange our American Express travelers checks! We tried several banks, and each one told us that we had to go to an exchange bureau. The rates, of course, were terrible. <BR><BR>Our ATM cards worked fine when we got to Holland and France, by the way.
