top 10 amsterdam...

I was watching the Top 10 sites in Amsterdam on the Travel Channel..they had a restaurant on there that they referred to as The Supper Club...it was a neat place where you can lay down, get a massage, eat and then go downstairs to the dance club...it was very modern...anyone who knows of this place and how to contact them let me know...they said you need to make a reservation at least 2 months in advance...we are going the end of May....Thanks!

Hi Denise
What are the other 9 sites that were mentioned? I will be in Amsterdam in March but do not watch the Travel Channel.

Hi Denise - we went to the Supperclub last February and loved the experience! The owners have opened another restaurant called Nomads (www.restaurantnomads.nl), which has an Arabian nights theme complete with belly dancers. We have reservations at Nomads just after Christmas this year. I don't recall how long in advance I made reservations for Supperclub, but you definitely have time. Enjoy!

I just checked out The nomads website. That place looks really cool. Do you know how far in advance you need to make reservations there. Do you think 2 weeks in advance would be long enough.Or do you think it would be possible to get one a few days ahead of time. I will be there somewhere around the middle of January.

Hey there,

I've heard that there's no problem getting into Nomads or SupperClub recently. Because they're high end concept restaurants (think $60/head), the downturn in tourism seems to have hit them . . . but, they both have online reservations so you can book your table whenever.

For top 10 A'dam ideas I'd also go to

http://www.timeout.com/amsterdam/index.html

hth!
=) t

Other top 10 (can't remember order) were clogs, windmills, tulips, museums, diamond factory tours, canals, anne frank house (#1), Amsterdam's football stadium and the zoo. The Supper club was under "nightlife".

Rodney - I just contacted Nomads last week and got a reservation for late December. I thought it would be more of a problem since they only opened a few weeks ago, but I was told the entire week was open. Hope you have a great trip - we love Amsterdam in the winter.
