To Prague and Then where?? Help
 

Fellow Fodorites I need your help once again. My wife are traveling to Prague in late Oct 2006. We would like to spend 3 nights and then move on to Berlin, Vienna, Budapest. Any suggestions or thoughts?
We would be flying to next destination soo..this is not of consequence. Which city would compliment Prague the best?

I don't think there is any specific answer, it just depends what you are interested in. Any of them would be a different destinationa and none are just like Prague as they aren't in CR. So, it just depends what you mean by complement. If you mean different, I'd say Vienna, at least politically.

I will spend an additional 3 nights. I would like to travel to the city with the easiest access to and from the airport. I love old world charm. Some sightseeing, cafes and just atmospher.
We have done all of Spain, Italy London and Paris just to give you an idea of our European experience.

Generally speaking, I would say Vienna, but I'm not really sure you need to fly to any of those destinations.

Berlin would compliment Prague the best, as so much there is postwar, the whole city started centuries later than Prague, and Berlin is Protestant while Prague is Catholic baroque.
