To Patrick

Dear Patrick
If you read my message, please advise me.
1) Are the days very dark from late Jan to mid Feb ? How long is daytime ?
2) We come from tropical country & may not stand the chill. What sort of clothings, shoes & necessities we need ?
3) The airplane'll either land in Stockholm or Copenhagen. We'll take a short trip in Copenhagen or Voss,Myrdal Flam or Stockholm. If to go Norway, we'll view the forest & waterfall in Voss,Myrdal & Flam by train & stay in one of these locations. The uncertainty is any trains available during late Jan & Feb. And is it enjoyable to view the forest & waterfall during winter period ?
4) Any direct train or ferry from Rovaniemi to Stockholm ?

Thank you

Whoa, I'm at a loss to answer this post. My only trip to Scandinavia was in June/July so the references to winter months mean nothing to me.
I'd help you if I could, but being from Florida the bottom line is, I wouldn't go to Scandinavia in January and February!!

st81f: Like Patrick, I have only been to Scandinavia in the Summer time. So, I can't offer advise about the weather or length of day in Jan./Feb. But, if you will restructure your question, there are a couple of people from Norway that can and will help you; Bjorn for instance. They were very helpful to me when I was planning my trip.
Try something like "Can someone offer information about the weather and length of day in Norway during January and February?"
Good luck.
