To be in Ireland in the spring....

Ah.. Donegal is basking in warm sun... blue, calm ocean.. the gorse is a golden glory, fragrant in the kind heat..lambs everywhere, and the sky is singing larks...The rhododendrons are starting to unfurl their purple riches... and all the hotels and restaurants are emerging like butterflies from their winter chyrsales.......

Anchoress,

Thanks for the poetic snapshot of Donegal. I wish I were actually there! I am having serious Eire withdrawals at the moment. Your post helped and brought me a smile.

Slan Beo,

Bit

I was there last week in Sligo, Mayo and Donegal and the place was great. Enjoyed some nice walks by the Atlantic and the ocean looked superb. The unseasonable weather was the icing on the cake and funny how its puts everyone in a great mood.

I will be staying in Portsalon for the week of May 12th through 19th. My husband and I are very excited, it's our first trip to Ireland.

I'm going to pull out my photo albums from my 93 trip and put "The Quiet Man" into the VCR. :)
Slante!

Ahhh, Glencolumcille. While only there for about an hour, it was one of the most beautiful spots I saw in Ireland, which says alot. I hope to visit again.
