It's a Rick Steves marathon, with the travel guru himself. (Pledge drive)

Of course it is a pledge drive. PBS only airs the good stuff during their constant pledge drives. I used to support them but no more.

Gary,

You still support PBS when you pay taxes. Sad, but true.

I really don't know why we have PBS. All of their topics are covered on other stations.

You are also correct when you state that PBS only shows the good stuff during pledge drives. Most of the good stuff is old.

What do you mean they only show the good stuff during the pledge drive? They take off what most people want to see (Antiques Roadshow, Nova, American Experience, Nature, Mystery, etc.) to put on Simon & Garfunkel's Concert from Central Park, a John Lennon concert, Roy Orbison & Friends, and the Rick Steve's travel hints last night WASN'T new.
